Dennis & Carolyn Buckmaster, Authors of ‘Healing, Romance & Revolution’ - Dennis’ career involved providing career guidance, coaching job finding and interviewing skills, basically walking 1000s through the challenges of finding work. Dennis emceed a weekly radio call-in call show focusing on job change. He was widely recognized as a subject “go to guy” by print media and TV / Radio.
Carolyn – is the great niece of Harriet (aka Aunt Hat). She spent her pre-children years in retail merchandising for Nordstrom's exercising her sense of design and fashion. “Healing, Romance & Revolution, Letters from a nurse in 1926 China” is about history and a very independent woman called Aunt Hat. |

Von Martin, author and world class dog musher, is a member of the
Pacific Northwest Writers Association and is Vice-President of the
Northwest Sled Dog Association. Since the early 1990’s Von has traveled thousands of miles by dogsled and in 2005 competed with Team USA during the World Cup Sled Dog Races. He is also a veteran musher of the 2009 and 2011 Serum Run ’25 sled dog expeditions.His book, “A Long Way to Nome”, recalls the story of his adopted huskies 2009 attempt to retrace the original 1925 route to deliver anti-toxin across Alaska to diphtheria stricken Nome.

Caroline Flohr, Author of 'Heaven's Child'
I was a woman like many others, focused on my five children, living a quiet life on Bainbridge Island. Although educated as an engineer, I have always been drawn to writing. My brief escapes to quiet places and quickly jotted notes always provided calm and comfort, like spending a few minutes with a close friend. Little did I know that ultimately my writing would be my survival during the most traumatic time of my life, the death of my daughter, Sarah, a 16-year old twin.
Published in July 2012, Heaven’s Child tells this story of heartbreak, healing, and redemption. |
